Sugar Hill Downtown Master Plan

Client: City of Sugar Hill

Location: Sugar Hill, Georgia

Program: Livable Centers Initiative (LCI)

Contribution: Principal-in-Charge and Lead Urban Designer. Directed project strategy, public engagement, and overall plan development. Hand drawn project graphics.

This Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) built on Sugar Hill's emerging downtown by creating a long-term framework for continued mixed-use growth, walkability, and placemaking. The plan integrated land use, transportation, urban design, and economic development to strengthen the city's evolving center while identifying catalyst projects, redevelopment opportunities, streetscape improvements, and implementation priorities. Many of the plan's recommendations have since been implemented, contributing to the ongoing transformation of downtown Sugar Hill into one of metro Atlanta's most successful suburban town centers.

Project completed while at Lord Aeck Sargent.
