Highway 92 Corridor Development Standards

Client: City of Woodstock

Location: Woodstock, Georgia

Program: Atlanta Regional Commission Livable Centers Initiative (LCI)

Contribution: Principal-in-Charge and Lead Urban Designer. Developed the corridor's planning and urban design framework through hand-drawn sketches, redevelopment scenarios, and 3D massing studies, and crafted the development standards in collaboration with the project team.

The Highway 92 Corridor Development Standards establish a new regulatory framework to guide the long-term redevelopment of a major suburban commercial corridor. Rather than applying a single prescriptive set of standards, the plan used illustrative redevelopment scenarios to create flexible design guidelines that balance community goals with the practical realities of private investment. The resulting framework provides the City with a more effective process for encouraging high-quality redevelopment over time.

Project completed while at Lord Aeck Sargent in collaboration with KB Advisory Group.
